ATTENTION: Would you like a Walkers Club
competition closer to you? If you know of a venue that has a non-concrete path
that is at least 500m in length and a decent width, has close
access to toilets and is not close to a children's playground,
etc (not busy on weekends) please speak to Heather Mitchell
any Saturday, as we are always looking for new venues. We just
haven't located any new ones recently. |

CANBERRA FEDERATION EVENT Info:
Sunday 8th June at Mt. Stromlo, Canberra is the first Race
Walking Federation event. Entries are the responsibility of each
walker but NSWRWC would like you to tell us when you have
entered and for what event, as there are also team events
included for most races that require 3x NSWRWC Members to make a

CONGRATULATIONS
to Kirsten Crocker on being selected as a
Race
Walk Judge Official for the Paris Olympic Games! There are
only two
other Australian Athletic Officials selected to
officiate at these Games.
Kirsten has moved up the ranks from officiating at Athletics NSW
Championships to Australian Championships, to Oceania
Championships, to U20 World Championships in Finland, to Youth
Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, to Commonwealth Games on the Gold
Coast & Birmingham, to Olympic Games Trials in China, to World
Athletics Championships in Doha and Oregon. Her expertise and
dedication has now provided her with the opportunity to
officiate at the Olympics!
The NSWRWC wishes her the very best for the Paris Olympic Games!

Who are we?
The NSW Race Walking Club (
NSWRWC ) was founded in 1911 to meet a particular athletic need. It is one of
the oldest athletic bodies in NSW. The aims of the club are to encourage race
walking and to develop competent walkers, judges, coaches and officials.
The NSWRWC, on behalf of
Athletics NSW, conducts the majority of the NSW Road Walking Championships during the
winter season. In addition, a full program of club competition is conducted.
These programs are designed to cater for men, women and children of all age
groups from Little Athletics to Veterans. Competitors of all standards are
provided for with a range of graded events of varying distances with both
handicap and scratch results and point scores.
